Why engage in citizen advocacy?
Le monde dans lequel nous vivons est traversé par de multiples crises et les défis à relever sont nombreux : sociaux, environnementaux, économiques… Face à ce contexte, des interrogations peuvent émerger (“quels sont les dysfonctionnements du système actuel ?”, “comment faire bouger les choses ?”…). Parfois, celles-ci peuvent susciter une indignation, ou provoquer des réactions très diverses, allant de la révolte à la paralysie.
Despite this, many citizens manage to overcome the feeling of helplessness that can overwhelm us in the face of the multiplicity of challenges we face. They are mobilizing and committing to change.
To achieve the desired changes, many actions are possible. There is in fact no single way to commit to accessing a model of society to which we aspire.
This booklet invites you to explore a lever little known to the general public but which proves appropriate and effective in bringing about change: political advocacy. This advocacy guide is presented as a toolbox outlining methods and advice for building a strategy and carrying out advocacy with political authorities, both at local and national And international.
