CONFERENCE – “ECOLOGICAL TRANSITION: LIMITS AND OPPORTUNITIES”

Justice et Paix, Het Netwerk Rechtvaardigheid & Vrede and Justice and Peace Europe have the pleasure to invite you to their conference “ECOLOGICAL TRANSITION: LIMITS AND OPPORTUNITIES”.

This event is organized as part of the international workshop “Integral ecology – overcoming the social and environmental crisis” that will take place from the 1st to the 3th of October in Brussels.

We are hoping that this conference will help to shed some light on the ecological transition, its opportunities and limits. Today everyone is well aware of the ecological crisis but the responses are different and actions are too slow.

With this conference, we would like to create a dialogue between those different responses coming from different parts of the society: EU with the Green Deal or the Pope and Catholic communities with Laudato Si', for instance.

What are these solutions and their limits?

What is needed to turn words into actions?

We will ask to you to explain the solutions you are fighting for from your respective sector and the concrete positive actions you can observe in the society.

To address this topic we will welcome:

▫️ Zakia Khattabi – Belgian Minister of Climate

▫️ Nicolas Van Nuffel – President of the Belgian Climate Coalition & Head of Research & Advocacy @ CNCD-11.11.11

▫️ Jean-Pascal Van Ypersele – Academic sector and Climate, Environment, Sustainable development & former President of IPCC
